Applications are invited for a Research Support position in the Language and Comparative Cognition (LCC), Speech Acquisition and Perception (SAP), Reasoning and Infant Cognition (RICO), Multisensory Research (MRG) and the Computational Neuroscience (CNS) Groups, at Pompeu Fabra University, Center for Brain and Cognition (CBC), https://www.upf.edu/web/cbc/.

Research support tasks:

  • Recruiting for studies - families (infant studies) and adult participants
  • Managing human studies – manage appointments/agenda, organize study meetings, prepare stimuli, questionnaires, translation of experimental material, reception of families/participants, coding/doublecoding, update database, manage lab logistics, organize lab materials ("stocks")
  • Prepararing and managing animal studies Updating and organizing experimental data and support for preliminary analysis
  • Organizing project events (workshops, summer schools, meetings)

Candidate minimum requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge of English. Fluent in Spanish and Catalan, a plus.
  • Experience as a Research assistant/technician in R&D (two years).

Desired capacity to demonstrate:

  • Experience as a Research Assistant in Neuroscience.
  • Proven ability to prioritize a varied workload and to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, flexible and problem solving attitude.
  • Team player and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, including written communication.

Conditions: Start date 1 January 2021. Duration 1 year. The position may be renewed.
