OFFER DESCRIPTION

• Gather all the sources necessary for the elaboration of the project (archives, bibliography, reports of archaeological operations, historiography, archaeological furniture, etc.)
• Participate in the drafting of the collective project of the UMR
• Maintain relations with the institutions present on the territory (Conservation départementales, Université Savoie Mont Blanc, Musée savoisien, laboratory EDYTEM, Service régional de l'archéologie, DRASSM, local authorities, etc.) and with researchers already working on the region
• Collaborate with researchers from UMR 5138

Reporting to the UMR 5138 collective project leader, Aldo Borlenghi, MCF in Roman Archaeology, the candidate will develop a transdisciplinary research project involving the four teams of the laboratory, which will focus on the departments of Savoyes from prehistoric to medieval times, in both terrestrial and underwater archaeology. He or she will need to consult regularly with other researchers in the laboratory to define the geographic area that will be considered and how each will integrate into the project.

The laboratory specializes in archaeology and archaeometry. It has 3 tutorials, the CNRS, the University of Lyon 2 and the University of Lyon 1, and 2 partners, the Ministry of Culture and Inrap. Agreements have been signed with private archaeology companies (Eveha, Archeodunum). The agent will work daily in the laboratory and will be under the direction of the director, Cécile BATIGNE VALLET, and Aldo BORLENGHI, and will work with the other team leaders: Anne BAUD and Michel FEUGERE. He will collaborate with archaeologists conducting archaeological research and working with students and archaeometers (physicists, geologists, chemists). He will travel to the region of Chambéry and make contact with the different actors of the Savoyard research in order to gather the material necessary for the elaboration of the project.
