OFFER DESCRIPTION

PhD thesis under the supervision of Dr Fabienne Andris within the Laboratory of Immunobiology (Head: Dr Stanislas Goriely), part of the ULB Center for Research in Immunology (U-CRI, Campus Gosselies), to conduct a project titled “Role of c-Maf expressing regulatory T cells in cancer immunosuppression”.

Regulatory T cells play a major role in cancer progression and response to immunotherapy. While these cells suppress antitumoral responses in established cancers, they may also dampen inflammation-driven tumorigenesis. We are actively working on the functional heterogeneity of regulatory T cells and the cross-talk between immune and tumor cells in pre-clinical models of colon tumorigenesis.

The candidate will have access to state-of-the-art technological platforms (flow cytometry, single-cell transcriptomics, epigenomics, imaging facility).
