Programmer. Social media analytics and hate speech

One Pre-Doctoral Position to a highly motivated researcher who has willingness to be involved in Hate speech on social media analysis (data mining and NLP) within the European Project “ALRECO. Discurso de Odio, Racismo y Xenofobia.

Mecanismos de ALerta y Respuesta COordinada”.

The project has the aim to improve the capacities of the State authorities to identify, analyze, monitor and evaluate online hate speech, in order to design shared strategies in facing racist, xenophobic, islamophobic or anti-Semitism motivated speech. One of the main activities for this job position is to manage the web site of the project. We are looking to someone to collaborate on developing, management and maintenance of the website with special focus on the technical maintenance of the virtual forums already in operation.

The position is 2 months contract with the University of Barcelona – Fundació Bosch i Gimpera with the possibility of renewal for 4 more months.

Gross Salary: 515 € per month. Part time contract (negotiable).
