*Starting Salary £31,602 - £34,443 per annum*

*Band Salary £31,602 - £40,069 per annum*

*Fixed term to 31 August 2021*

An opportunity is available for an Investigator Scientist to work on the structures of HIV-1 and SARS-CoV-2. The project aims to investigate the structures of HIV-1 and SARS-CoV-2 proteins in situ and invitro by applying cryo-electron tomography, computational image processing and other complimentary methods.

You should have a PhD in a relevant subject and a desire to understand the structures of enveloped viruses. Extensive experience is required in: cryo-electron microscopy and cryo-electron tomography including sample preparation and data collection; computational image processing for both single particle reconstruction and subtomogram averaging; structural studies of enveloped viruses.
