Skills/Qualifications

CONDITIONS FOR ESTABLISHING EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP: In addition to the general terms and conditions for establishing employment relationship, candidates should meet the following requirements: completed university graduate study course of biology, excellent knowledge of English in speech and writing, experience in working with macroinvertebrates of inland waters Preferably experience in publishing scientific articles.

To the tender under the equal conditions, persons of both sexes may apply. Terms used in this tender, which have gender significance, regardless of whether they are used in the masculine or feminine gender, include equally the masculine and feminine genders.

The candidate who obtains the employment advantage on the basis of special regulations, shall in application invoke this right, and on this tender enclose all evidences that special rules provide for the right to priority in employment. Such candidates shall have the advantage of employment under the concerned tender in comparison with the other candidates, under the same established conditions of the tender, on the basis of a duly, complete and timely application, provided that they meet all the requirements of the tender.

Candidates are required to submit with the application for the tender: CV (with list of publications), proof of acquired qualifications,proof of required experience,proof of citizenship,proof of knowledge of English, motivation letter, two contact recommendations: name, institution and e-mail, Annex number 1 

In addition to the above, candidates are required to submit, along with the application, a certificate that no investigation or criminal proceedings are being conducted against them (in the original, not older than 3 months).

Duly and complete application is considered the application that contains all the information and all annexes required in the tender. Incomplete, irregular, and untimely applications will not be considered, nor will the applicants of such applications be subsequently invited to amend it

Specific Requirements

.Candidates who fully meet all the formal requirements of the tender, on the basis of a duly, complete and timely application, will be invited for interview with the Commission for the implementation of the tender procedure (interview).

In the case of a large number of candidates (more than 5), a pre-selection procedure is carried out between candidates who fully meet the conditions of the tender, and who have submitted a complete, orderly and timely application, by comparative evaluation of information contained in their CV. Based on the results of the pre-selection procedure, a list of candidates who are invited to an interview with the members of the Commission for the implementation of the tender procedure.A candidate, who did not respond to interview on time and place, by special invitation, shall be considered that the candidate abandoned the tender procedure.

The selected candidate undertakes to enroll and regularly attend postgraduate studies in Biology.The selected candidate undertakes to achieve a doctorate in cotutelle science.

University in Zagreb the Faculty of Science collects and processes the personal data of the applicants on the tender for establishment employment relationship for the purpose of verifying the qualification and meeting the conditions of the tender, in accordance with the Decision on collection, protection and processing of personal data (CLASS: 035-01/18-01; REF. N.: 251-58-10201-18-2).

The deadline for submitting applications of the tender is 15 days after the publication of the tender in the "Official Gazette".

Bids with proof of compliance with requirements from the tender shall be submitted to the following address: the Faculty of Sciences, Deanery (Humane resources), Zagreb, Horvatovac 102a. The results of the tender procedure will be published on the official website of the Faculty of Science: www.pmf.unizg.hr (Tenders). With the prior approval of the selected candidate, and in accordance with article 25 paragraph 1 of the Collective agreement for science and higher education (OG 9/2019), the Faculty of Science will also publish a professional CV on the official website of the Faculty of Science, provided that the selected candidate has signed the consent according to annex no. 1, which is an integral part of this tender.
