Offer Description

The Website Manager is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and managing content for the mobile app, website and related pages for The UNESCO CHAIR on Digital Cultural Heritage and all its related projects and initiatives. In addition, they will oversee email, push notification, text messaging and other communication channels. The Website Platform Manager will manage ongoing development and produce analytics related to engagement as well as make recommendations and implement plans to execute.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or other related field

  • Solid web technology understanding in HTML, CSS, WebPress and JavaScript
  • At least two years of progressively responsible management experience in website development and marketing content

  • Experience in creating site/app and publishing engaging site/app content

  • Experience managing site strategy and ongoing development of the platform

  • Knowledge of best practices for website and app marketing strategy and development

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent copywriting and editing

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Able to handle shifting priorities, manage work and self with little direction

  • Well organized and able to get work done through others

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically

  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others

  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude

  • Master degree in web-programming / cloud computing (or related areas) and extra years of experience will be a plus.

Specific Requirements
  • Plan, design, develop and implement website(s) and app(s) as well as campaigns and content that meet our project(s) objectives to drive project(s) awareness, impact, engagement, app(s) downloads and projects added value to the society.

  • Maintain a relationship with university ICT services call center for trends, monitoring and support.

  • Collaborating with the Communication/IPR department of the University and leadership to ensure that the website(s)/ Apps aligns with brand strategy of the University

  • Use tools to create opportunities to generate leads

  • Oversee the planning and execution of email programs, push notifications and text messages to increase engagement of users.

  • Work with partners/ Cultural Heritage stakeholders to continually improve website and mobile app experience, from dissemination, awareness and support.

  • Monitor worldwide similar sites/app and stay aware of the latest trends and how the trends can be leveraged in our channels.

  • Research and recommend new features and changes in existing platforms and manage ongoing development of the platform

  • Manage location pages to improve efficiency

  • Set goals and measure app and website performance, making recommendations for future campaigns and enhancements.

  • Leverage Google or other Analytics and other tools to report site performance, and overall the link to social media channel effectiveness.

  • Report on app engagement, including key activities, downloads, daily and monthly active users.

  • Manage the website budgets to maximize return.

  • Perform other duties related to our webpages and social media as requested or required by management.

Additional Information

Benefits
  • The yearly gross salary of the webmaster/programmer/manager is based upon qualifications and experience.
  • From this amount employer and employee contributions to the Cyprus government funds will be deducted.
  • A 13th monthly salary is incorporated into the monthly gross salary. In addition, health and social insurance will be funded by the project.
  • The possibility for elaborating a PhD is offered.
Selection process
