The grant holder
must apply and develop his/her skills in the field of morphological and spectroscopic characterization of metals and
their alloys, collaborating with colleagues in the historical-artistic field in the same project, in order to contribute to
the definition of synergistic strategies for the determination of physical and formal/stylistic/material characteristics of
the objects present in the collection. He/she will also have to produce original research, also in view of their
publication, increasing the knowledge of this cultural heritage through the application of technologically advanced
solutions such as reflectance transformation imaging (RTI), 3D imaging and morphological and compositional
investigations (down to the nanoscale) of the metal surfaces studied.
Applications are invited from candidates who meet the following requirements:
a) to have completed a Master’s degree in Physics, Materials engineering, Materials sciences, Conservation of cultural heritage, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry (in accordance with earlier Italian university regulations, or a second-cycle undergraduate degree as per the interdepartmental decree of 9 July 2009); candidates who have completed the aforementioned degrees abroad may also apply, if said degrees are recognized as equivalent to Italian degrees.
b) not to be older than 36 years at the date of submission of the application.
Knowledge of English language is also required to carry out the activity.
