Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek invites applications for one employee in Assistant Professor rank for teaching and research in Humanities, History, scientific branch Croatian and World Medieval History on a permanent, full-time basis.
The vacancy is open under the same conditions to both male and female applicants.

The required documentation is to be submitted in duplicate (one copy being the original) in e-form, on CD and as a PDF file. Apart from the documents outlined in the form, applicants are required to supply a copy of their birth certificate and the Certificate of Croatian Citizenship.
Applications must be submitted no later than 30 days since the publication of the vacancy. Incomplete or late applications shall not be considered. By submitting an application to the Call for Applications, the applicants explicitly consent to Josip Juraj Strossmayer University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences as the manager of a database of personal data being allowed to collect, use and further process data for the purpose of carrying out the Application procedure, pursuant to the regulations of the Personal Data Protection Act (Official Gazette 106/12)
All applicants are required to include the filled and signed Form 9 (Privola) with their application. Form 9, granting permission to have all their personal data in the submitted documents collected and processes in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
The Call is open 30 days from the date of publication.
Applicants will be notified of the results within 8 days following the termination date via the Faculty webpage. The Faculty reserves the right to also notify the applicants via email.
In addition to the general requirements prescribed by the Labour Act (official Gazette 93/14 and 127/17, applicants are required to meet the following conditions set in : Article 93 and Article 95 of the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act (Official Gazette 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 2/07.- Decision of the Croatian Constitutional Court, 46/07, 63/11, 94/13, 139/13, 101/14. - Decision of the Croatian Constitutional Court, 60/15.- Decision of the Croatian Constitutional Court and 131/17.)), as well as the conditions laid down in Articles 190, 192. Article 5 and 6 of the Statute of J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek -consolidated text , Articles 112 and 113 of the Statute of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences-consolidated text, as well as the special conditions laid out in Article 13 of the J.J. Strossmayer Book of Regulations on the Procedure of (Re)appointment to Academic Ranks and Corresponding Positions.

Foreign applicants are required to submit proof of command of the Croatian language in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (B1). If selected, the applicant must have her/his diploma nostrified. If the applicant has the right of advantage pursuant to law, s/he is required to appeal to the appropriate act in the application, and submit appropriate legal documents supporting the claim, as well as proof issued by the Croatian Employment Office acknowledging the status of an unemployed person and outlining the terms of contract cancellation for previous employment. Advantage in the application process is claimed only under equal terms.
