OFFER DESCRIPTION

The project aims to virtually reconstruct selected dwellings and productive contexts of the Etruscan town of Kainua-Marzabotto.
In order to achieve that, the project has two main objectives. The first consists in the analysis of all the available data (archaeological finds, digging documentation, photographs and text archive) in order to develop a coherent interpretative system. This operation constitutes necessary base for the reconstruction process, aiming to philologically rebuild the ancient buildings. The second objective of the project focuses on the implementation of a unified management structure for the archaeological data of the ancient city, based on the joint use of SQL databases (for non-georeferenceable graphic documentation and finds), Geographic Information Systems (for maps and plan data) and Building Information Modeling (for the development of virtual reconstructions and the management of three-dimensional surveys).
