The research fellow will be required to contribute to the study of the artistic heritage
belonging to the period from the Early Middle Age to the 15th Century and preserved at the Museo Civico (Pistoia).
More precisely, the research fellow will be required to carry out new and first-hand investigations on the sculptures,
systematic and critical analysis, as well as digitalization; moreover, the research fellow will update the already
available information on the artworks and will develop new scientific contents addressed to the museographic
renewal of the museum. Subsequently, the research fellow will also be required to propose the best solutions for the
wider knowledge of the examined sculptures also with regard to their original destination and collocation. Lastly, the research fellow will be required to pinpoint the most functional ways of preserving and managing the studied sculptures.
Applications are invited from candidates who meet the following requirements:
a) to have completed a Master’s degree in historical-artistic disciplines (in accordance with earlier Italian university regulations, or a second-cycle undergraduate degree as per the interdepartmental decree of 9 July 2009); candidates who have completed the aforementioned degrees abroad may also apply, if said degrees are recognized as equivalent to Italian degrees.
b) not to be older than 36 years at the date of submission of the application.
Knowledge of English language is also required to carry out the activity.
