Job profile:

The department of Christian Philosophy (Catholic Theological Faculty) at the University of Innsbruck seeks to fill the position of a half-time (20 hours per week) assistant as of 01 October 2020. The position is limited to 4 years.

Main Tasks:

  • High-quality research in Practical Philosophy
  • High-quality research-led teaching in the Catholic Theology Faculty’s philosophy courses, including the supervision of theses; specializing in Ethics, Social- and Cultural-Philosophy
  • The holder of the position is expected to take part in academic self-government, particularly in PR-activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Completed doctorate in philosophy, specializing in Practical Philosophy
  • PR-competence
  • Experience in interdisciplinary cooperation, particularly with theological disciplines
  • University-level teaching experience
  • The ability to teach and research in English and German
  • The ability to work in a team and communication skills.
