OFFER DESCRIPTION

This research grant is included in the activity of the Venice unit of a PRIN 2017 project. The Venetian unity must study the areas of the periphery of the Italian kingdom in the Carolingian age; this research grant is dedicated to the study of one of them, the Duchy of Rome, which in the Carolingian age definitively affirmed itself as an autonomous reality, under the government of the Pope, while remaining politically subordinate to imperial power by the Carolingians
