to complement our young and highly motivated research group. In the context of translational oncology it is our aim to improve our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying tumor progression and metastasis. At the same time, it is important to us to translate our findings to diagnostic and/or therapeutic improvements for our patients. The specific PhD project is focused on investigating and unraveling the molecular mechanisms of the biogenesis of extracellular vesicles, their role in the tumor microenvironment and their use as cancer biomarkers.

We are looking for:
- strong interest in basic and translational research
- successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine or an equivalent discipline
- research experience in cell culture, protein biochemistry, molecular and cell biology
flexibility, independence and ability to work in a team
- excellent English writing and communication skills
