Scientific Programmer f/m (Python / Qt / C++)
Help to better understand materials and physical and chemical processes at the atomic level. Our high-resolution electron-optical components make important contributions in many areas of the most recent research in materials sciences as well as in life sciences all over the world.
In a team of software developers and physicists you work on design, implementation and test of our system and application software for data acquisition, image analysis and microscope control.
- good skills in Python development,
- experience with the Qt Library for the implementation of user interfaces,
- no worries about concurrent programming (multi-processing, multi-threading, async-io),
- sound understanding of numpy and related techniques for numerical processing,
- good knowledge of Linux as well as Windows (cross-platform development),
- some knowledge in C/C++ programming including OpenMP would be beneficial.

Practical experience with electron microscopy and other optical equipment is not necessarily important. We will provide training on the job. Applications from scientist with a strong programming background are explicitly welcome. Good knowledge of the German language is a must. The team language is German.
