OFFER DESCRIPTION

Research activity will be divided into two tasks: the first task will involve the analyses of phenotypic and behavioural information available from biobank questionnaires to identify major axes of variation across the anonymous participants, through principal component and discriminator analyses. The clusters hence identified will provide information on the domestic environment of each participant and will provide additional information to the implementation of polygenic scores (to be carried out, in synergy, by another postdoctoral researcher). The second task will involve bioinformatic analyses on ancient genomes generated at the University of Tartu from specimens from the Museum of Anthropology of the University of Padova. The analyses will aim at characterizing the samples from a demographic perspective, investigating patterns of migration and population replacement throughout time.
