OFFER DESCRIPTION

The project envisages: the georeferencing of the about 4000 tombs excavated by Marchesetti on present-day maps and the creation of a database aiming at linking the already existing object files to the pertaining tombs; the collaboration in the design of the future display of the room dedicated to S. Lucia of Tolmino at the Antiquities Museum of Trieste. The specific activities will articulate as follows: Georeferencing of each tomb in the necropolis of S. Lucia (in cooperation with prof. A. Favretto); Planning of the GIS: evaluation of the most suitable software; development and design of the files for each category: object, tomb, sector of the cemetery; experimentation of the files; Creation of the GIS and verification of its suitability; Study of the objects and their associations by type and tomb; analysis of the spatial distribution of the grave goods; Design of the future display of the necropolis at the Museum “J.J. Winckelmann"
