PostDoc researcher for GLAUKOS-Ecotox
- Research Group: ECOTOX (www.ecotox.gal ) (University of Vigo, Galicia, Spain)
-Full-time position (40 h/week) starting by July 2020
-Duration: 3 years (6 months trial period)
-Salary: up to 35.000 € /year (gross salary) depending on qualification
-Laboratory research on degradation and effects of biopolymers in the environment using aquatic experimental models
-Laboratory research on effects of polymers and plastic additives on model aquatic organisms at molecular level (gene expression, omics).
-Preparation of manuscripts and reports
-Dissemination activities: assistance to international congresses, popular science.

REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVELEnvironmental science: PhD or equivalent
REQUIRED LANGUAGESENGLISH: GoodSPANISH: GoodOTHER: Basic
- PhD in biology, environmental sciences or alike
- Experience in biodegradation tests, preferably in aquatic environment (e.g. ISO-14851, ISO-16221).
- Excellent knowledge on molecular techniques applied to environmental sciences (electrophoresis, qPCR, enzyme activities, ELISA, omics).
- Fluent English speaker
- Capability to conduct animal testing according to EU regulations (Directive 2010/63/EU, Orden ECC/566/2015).
