PhD student positions available with prof. Luca Tamagnone in Rome (Italy), for studying cell signalling in cancer.
The Tamagnone lab has immediate openings for qualified and motivated graduate students to enter the PhD Programme in Translational and Experimental Medicine at the Sacred Heart University “A. Gemelli” Medical School in Rome.
Successful applicants will be involved in competitive research projects, studying the functional role and signalling pathways mediated by extracellular signals active in the tumor microenvironment, with a special focus on mechanisms driving early metastatic dissemination. The lab has strong previous expertise in the study of semaphorin signals and their receptors, plexins and neuropilins. Ongoing projects implicate a variety of experimental approaches, from molecular and cell biology to the study of animal models.
