We are seeking a motivated individual to join a young and dynamic research group to carry out their PhD in Organic Chemistry. The Teskey group is located in the Institute of Organic Chemistry at RWTH Aachen, Germany. Our research interests are focused on utilising light to discover new reactivity in organic synthesis and research projects will focus on the use of visible and UV light for carbon-carbon bond formation.
Applicants for PhD positions should have a good masters degree in synthetic chemistry. Some experience in synthetic methodology development, photochemistry, or main-group catalysis is preferable but not mandatory. Candidates will receive rigorous training in all aspects of modern organic chemistry.
A good knowledge of English is essential. The position will be available from March 2020 (negotiable) and will be filled as and when a suitable candidate is found. Informal enquiries can be sent via email.
