One Early-Stage Researcher position is available for 36 months at the Institut de Science et d’Ingénierie Supramoléculaires (ISIS), Université de Strasbourg (UNISTRA), France. The work will be carried out in the framework of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action European Training Network (MSCA-ITN-ETN) “ULTIMATE” (“Bottom-Up generation of atomicalLy precise syntheTIc 2D MATerials for high performance in energy and Electronic applications – A multi-site innovative training action”). The successful candidate will be working on energy-related applications of synthetic 2D materials (from supercapacitors to membranes).

We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a Master degree in materials science, materials chemistry or nanoscience and a background in electrochemistry of materials and fabrication of super- and micro-capacitors, batteries and capacitive membranes.

Candidates can be of any nationality, but they must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in France for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the recruitment date. They must also be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and have not been awarded a doctoral degree.

The successful candidate will be integrated in a truly interdisciplinary and international group working on multifunctional materials and devices. Very good level of English (oral and written) is requested. Women are strongly encouraged to apply.
