OFFER DESCRIPTION

- Participation in the drafting of data management plans
- Creation, using Opentheso software, of thesauri associated with four test sets of archaeological data
- Modeling of the datasets
- Alignment of thesauri with semantic web repositories
- Mapping of the data models with CIDOC-CRM and CRMarchaeo extension, using OntoME application,
- Data export to RDF (secondary task, in coordination with an IT service provider)
- Design of a training course on the methodology developed (secondary task)

As part of the ANR project "HisArc-RDF - Sharing and reusing archaeological and historical data: a RDF description based on repositories and semantic web standards", you will create a methodology to describe archaeological datasets in RDF so as to ensure interoperability in accordance with "FAIR" principles: creation of thesauri and data models to describe concepts and relationships between data, alignment of thesauri and model mapping to semantic web standards, description of datasets as RDF triplets.

Within the Archaeorient-Environments and Societies of the Ancient East laboratory (archaeology, UMR 5133), the position is attached to a strategic axis : "Data from archaeological research", in conjunction with the LARHRA-Laboratory of Historical Research in Rhône-Alpes (UMR 5190), with the Information System and Networks Pole (PSIR) of the MOM Federation (FR 3747) and with the IdRéf team of the Higher Education Bibliographic Agency (ABES). The other members of the consortium are laboratories: HiSoMA (UMR 5189), Archimede (UMR 7044), Chrono-Environnement (UMR 6249), AOrOc (UMR 8546) and ERIC (EA 3083), as well as non-academic partners: the museum-archaeological site of Bibracte EPCC and Archeodunum SAS.

The Archéorient laboratory is a joint research unit under the dual supervision of the CNRS and the Lumière Lyon 2 University and is one of the constituent units of the Maison de l'Orient et de la Méditerranée Jean-Pouilloux Research Federation in Lyon. It has about forty permanent members and as many associate researchers.
The laboratory conducts pluri- and interdisciplinary research on ancient societies and their environment. The laboratory's field studies extend over a vast geographical area, from the Mediterranean basin to Central Asia, as well as from the Caucasus to Ethiopia, from the end of the Paleolithic to the Islamic periods.
Its aim is to promote the cross-fertilization of disciplines (archaeology, life and earth sciences) in order to provide an innovative approach to the study of past societies. One of the unit's specific features is the large number of archaeological missions led by its researchers. Their scientific programmes constitute a considerable source of first-hand data.
