In accordance with § 94 Sec. 2 subpara. 1 of the 2002 Austrian Universities Act, the Faculty of Law at the Johannes Kepler University Linz announces a faculty opening for a University Professor for Intellectual Property
Professor of Intellectual Property Rights
The successful candidate is expected to represent and further develop the field of intellectual property law in research and teaching. Core areas includes patent law, copyright law and trademark law as well as teaching and conducting research in laws pertaining to protecting designs, semiconductors, names, and other intellectual property rights. The successful candidate is also expected to conduct research as part of the LIT (the Linz Institute of Technology) and contribute to the university’s research focus of "Digital Transformation" , building and fostering relationships to research conducted by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economic & Business, the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, and the Faculty of Medicine. Combining legal expertise with expertise in engineering and natural sciences, social sciences economics & business, and medicine will benefit processes.
