OFFER DESCRIPTION

The research fellow will have the task of seeking and entering historical, archaeological and geomorphological datasets of Siena into the archaeological GIS as well as the outcome of GPR survey interpretations. He/She will deal with the collection of archaeological data and the reconstruction of past urban landscapes (2D and 3D). In addition, he/she will implement the integration of the archaeological frameworks with geomorphological data and GPR investigations. He/She will play an active role in the acquisition, processing and interpretation of geophysical measurements.
The applicant should have a good knowledge of Siena archaeology, skills in the analysis and interpretation of urban archaeology, artefacts, historical architecture and digital processing of excavation datasets (database and GIS). Finally, basic skills of archeological geophysics and 3D modeling are also required.
