Applications are invited for a full-time post-doctoral research position in the The Emerging Human Brain Cluster (Clúster Emergent del Cervell Humà - CECH). The successful candidate would be integrated in the Computational Neuroscience group (CNS) https://www.upf.edu/web/cns, lead by Prof. Gustavo Deco, https://www.upf.edu/web/cns/gustavo , of the Center for Brain and Cognition (CBC) https://www.upf.edu/web/cbc. Candidates with appropriate Computational Neuroscience backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

We seek candidates with solid experience leading research on intracortical data (iEEG) analysis by means of dynamic system techniques. Involvement in some organizational and management aspects is expected. The candidate must have (1) solid demonstrable experience (i.e., publications) in collection of historical patient data, (2) strong background in application of surgical models, (3) post surgical control through structural imaging, (4) live data collection in epilepsy patients. The successful candidate will develop the research program entitled “Development of dynamic causal biomarkers based on intracortical EEG and neuroimaging for diagnosis, therapeutic intervention design and therapy monitoring”. The tasks that the successful candidate will carry out are framed within subproject 2 “Development of dynamic causal biomarkers based on intracortical EEG and neuroimaging for diagnosis, therapeutic intervention design and therapy monitoring” led by Gustavo Deco.

We offer onsite laboratory facilities (www.upf.edu/web/cbclab) including a computational cluster, and a highly interdisciplinary and active research environment at the Center for Brain and Cognition. The position will be renewable on a yearly basis for up to 3 years.
