ANNOUNCES AN OPEN COMPETITION FOR THE POSITION OF
Assistant Professor
in the Department of History ISS PAS
TERMS OF THE COMPETITION:
Requirements:
- Doctor of humanities degree (history);
- Proven track record of research in the medieval period of history, especially the source studies of Central and Eastern Europe;
- Good knowledge of English, German, Latin and Polish.
Additional qualifications:
- Knowledge of other European languages;
- Experience in acquiring research grants;
- Experience in teaching and popularization of science.

1. Job application addressed to the Director of the Institute of Slavic Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences;
2. Professional CV with a list of publications;
3. Certified copy of a diploma of doctor of humanities (history).
Document submission deadline: June 30th, 2020
Documents must be submitted by e-mail at: sekretariat@ispan.waw.pl. The interview will take place on September 30th, 2020. The committee will make their decision according to the rules and regulations of the Institute of Slavic Studies, available at www.ispan.waw.pl under the tab “Oferty Pracy” [Job Offers]. Employment is scheduled to start on October 1st, 2020. The person will be asked to sign a statement confirming that the ISS PAS will count them towards the number of employees included in the institute’s research potential and a statement confirming that ISS PAS is the first place of employment.
On the application, please include a clause: “On the basis of art. 6 para. 1 RODO, I hereby agree to process my personal data, including my image, included in my offer for the needs of recruitment process by the administrator of the data, that is the Institute of Slavic Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences”.
Information clause on data processing in the recruitment process
According to art. 13 of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter: RODO) the Institute of Slavic Studies, PAS informs that:
1. The administrator of your personal data provided in the recruitment documents is the Institute of Slavic Studies, PAS with the seat at Bartoszewicza Street 1b/17, 00-337 Warsaw.
2. Your personal data will be processed in order to participate in this recruitment process.
3. The legal basis for data processing is the provisions of the Act of 26 June, 1974 - Labor Code, Act of 27 July 2005 Law on Higher Education, in connection from art. 6 section 1 point c) RODO.
4. Your personal data may be shared with relevant recipients, in particular, institutions authorized to control the administrator's activity or entities authorized to obtain personal data on the basis of separate legal provisions.
5. Your personal data will be processed for a period not longer than for the duration of the recruitment process. After this period, documents not considered positive will be destroyed.
6. You have the right to request the administrator to access your personal data, rectify them, delete or limit processing, as well as the right to object to the processing and the right to transfer data - in cases and on terms specified in the provisions of the GDPR.
7. Providing your personal data by you is a statutory requirement. You are obliged to provide them, and the consequence of not providing personal data will be your failure to take into account the recruitment process.
8. Your data will not be profiled.
