The University of Nottingham is seeking to appoint a new Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education and Student Experience to lead the University’s strategy to deliver an outstanding teaching, learning and student experience for every student in our community.

Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, and working across the University’s executive team, you will offer strategic leadership and oversight for policies and actions to enhance teaching, learning, the student experience and widening participation, delivering recommendations, reports and advice to relevant University committees. 

Your ability to guide and encourage innovation in all areas of responsibility will be critical, with a keen emphasis on both blended and digital learning. You will also hold overall responsibility for the University’s accountability and compliance obligations, preparation and submission of external audits - notably the Teaching Excellence Framework - and in the development and implementation of a student experience strategic delivery plan. 

Your passion for the student experience will be evident, along with your vision and demonstrable ability to deliver innovative strategies. Your experience will lend itself to initiating and managing change, particularly within a higher education environment, and you will be able to show your understanding of teaching and learning matters facing the sector, both nationally and internationally. 

The successful candidate will be an internationally recognised academic, with strong strategic leadership and management skills, who is a confident communicator able  to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills across diverse audiences.
