The Faculty of Physics at the University of Vienna invites applications for a University assistant (post doc) in the Mathematical Physics Group starting in Fall 2020. The group conducts research on theoretical and mathematical questions in theories of fundamental interactions including quantum field theory, gravity, and string theory.
We are looking for an excellent scientist with a high potential of independent, creative research. The applicant's research interests preferably include geometric and algebraic aspects of fundamental physical theories and fit in well with the group; they also connect well to other activities at the Faculties of Physics and Mathematics and at the Erwin Schrödinger Institute.The position includes teaching (in average 4 hours per week during the terms), it is limited to a maximum of 4 years.
