OFFER DESCRIPTION

Institute of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine in Warsaw, Poland, offers one post-doctoral position in the Foundation or Polish Science TEAM project “Discovery and Characterization of non-canonical PIM kinase functions in lymphomas”, supervised by prof. Przemysław Juszczyński, MD, PhD.

Using chemical genomics and epigenomics, we plan to explore in detail chromatin-associated PIM functions in the most common lymphoid malignancy in adults, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). We will study the role of PIM kinases in epigenetic regulation of transcription in this disease using functional epigenomics (chip-seq eperiments, RNA seq, integrative analyses). In addition, we plan to define the consequences of frequent PIM1 mutations by performing functional and phosphoproteomic studies in cells expressing mutant PIM1.

Institute of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine is one of the leading research institutions in Poland and a reference hematooncology center. Studies will be performed in a young, dynamic group, providing opportunities for successful publishing of research results. We offer scientific development oportunities, collaboration  with leading research institutions nationally and internationally and access to cutting-edge research technologies.

We offer 1 full time job - 13500 PLN, Expected net payment: 9500  PLN (~ 2200 €) including:

1 / TEAM - 10,500 PLN (70% of working time)

2 / Other projects - 3000 PLN (30% of working time)
