The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of research and teaching in canon law within the study programmes offered by the Faculty of Catholic Theology (including: specialist theology (Fachtheologie), Catholic religious pedagogy (katholische Religionspädagogik), teacher training programme in Catholic religion (Lehramt katholische Religion), foundations of theology (Grundlagen theologischer Wissenschaft), theological studies in the present-day context (Theologische Wissenschaft im Kontext der Gegenwart)). Employment requirements: Habilitation or equivalent qualification in canon law; higher education qualification in Catholic theology (Dr. theol.); skills in ecclesiastical jurisprudence and administration, especially in the law of marriage, matrimonial proceedings and sanctions in the church; practical pastoral experience, relevant skills for conveying an understanding of different forms of priestly ministry.

Benefits

The minimum salary according to the classification scheme of the collective agreement is EUR 71.822,80 gross per year (14 monthly salaries). Salary subject to negotiation.
