Archaeological documents from Pompeii: interdisciplinary approaches in research, between discovery, recovering and enhancement

Under the agreement between the University of Turin, the CCR La Venaria Reale and the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, the assegnista will carry out activities related to the elaboration and study of materials and documents concerning historical and archaeological themes, diagnostics, conservation and restoration.
In particular:
- archaeological and technological study of the bronze finds previously exhibited in the Antiquarium and damaged by the bombing of 1943, also on the basis of archive data, diagnostic investigations and conservative interventions; critical reading of their ‘biography’, in view of the systematic publication
- elaboration of the documentation related to various restored artifatcs (frescoes, mosaics, various finds), and interaction with scholars and scientists from various disciplines aiming at the publication of the finds, integrating archaeological and archaeometric data
-design of activities aiming at communicating and enhancing the results of the research
