2 research positions are open at the Inorganic Chemistry Department (Theoretical and Applied Inorganic Chemistry Research Centre), Faculty of Chemistry, University of Bucharest, in the project “Fluorescent materials based on fluorescein platform” (PN-III-P4-ID-PCE-2016-0442 nr. 89/2017), director: dr. Augustin Mădălan.

Employment period: 4 to 6 month (temporary contract);

Type of employment: part-time (maximum 4 hours/day).

Selection process

a) analysis of the application (CV and list of publications);

b) interview;

    ENGLISH: Excellent
    ROMANIAN: Excellent

Skills/Qualifications

Position 1:

- PhD in chemistry, minimum 10 years experience in organic chemistry (synthesis) and/or supramolecular chemistry;

Position 2:

- PhD in chemistry, minimum 5 years experience in organic chemistry (synthesis) and/or supramolecular chemistry

Specific Requirements

Position 1:

  • Synthesis of organic ligands cu multiple functions;
  • Good command of NMR spectra recording and interpretation;
  • Photophysical analysis of organic ligands and their metal-ion complexes.

Position 2:

  • Good command in multistep synthesis and in synthetic methodology development of organic compounds through metal-catalysed cross-coupling reactions;
  • Photophysical analysis of organic ligands and their metal-ion complexes.
