STEP 2: Check eligibility

Early Stage Researchers status: ESRs are in the first four years (full-time equivalent) of their research careers, starting at the date of obtaining their masters degree (or similar). They must not be in possession of a doctorate/PhD degree.

Mobility Rule: All nationalities can apply, but you can only apply to be hosted in a country in which you did not reside or carry your main activity (such as work or study) for more than 12 months within the last 3 years. This excludes short stays such as holidays or compulsory national service.

Unizar’s Doctoral School: It is required 300 Graduate ECTS (of which at least 60 ECTS must be of Master`s degree) by the time the student is hired (September 2019 the latest). If your degree proceeds from outside the European Higher Education Area, certifications may need to be validated to the host institution country.

The process will be different at each institution (Materialise and University of Zaragoza) following their standard procedures. Once you have been selected as a potential candidate by one of the recruiting institutions, you will be directed to the other partner to complete the process. Both phases may include independent interviews with members from the consortium and, if necessary, a technical test to proof each candidate merits and adequacy to the project.
