The successful candidate is expected to represent Modern and Contemporary History/Historical-Cultural European Studies in research and teaching.

Active participation in research, teaching and administration in the field of Modern and Contemporary History/Historical-Cultural European Studies; independent teaching within the B.A., M.A. and teacher’s training curricula in History (according to the University’s collective agreements). Contribution to editing scientific publications, and organizing conferences and symposia. We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months. Further scientific qualification (Ph.D. dissertation, publication, and conference participation) is provided. The candidate is expected to graduate in the history of human rights and democracy. Particularly welcome are research projects on the impact and reception of the Enlightenment in the 20th century in the context of human rights and democracy.
Very good command of spoken and written English; proved, at least passive mastery of French.
