OFFER DESCRIPTION

The Faculty of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences (FASS) at Aberystwyth University invites you to send initial draft Expressions of Interest for Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellowship applications. The Faculty brings together numerous excellent and innovative research in complementary specialisms in Art, Welsh and Celtic Studies, Modern Languages, English and Creative Writing, Law and Criminology, Theatre, Film and Television, History and Welsh History, International Politics and Education.

  • Employment contract with full social security: yes
  • Maximum duration of fellowship: 24-36

Eligibility criteria

  • In possession of a doctoral degree or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience.
  • For an European Fellowship application - At the time of the deadline for submission (09 September 2020), have not resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc) in the UK for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline.
  • For an Global Fellowship application - At the time of the deadline for submission (09 September 2020), have not resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc) in the Third Country of their choice, for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline.

Selection process

If you are interested, please send a full academic CV and your outline application of no more than 1000 words to Sarah Wydall  (sww@aber.ac.uk) by 19th June 2020. The 1000 word application needs to clearly outline the core aspects of your planned proposal, including why you wish to apply to complete the project at Aberystwyth

Selection will be carried out by early-July, and selected applicants will be appointed a mentor from the department, who will assist them in preparing the application to the European Commission for the 09 September 2020 deadline.
