We invite applications for a Ph.D. position in three different fields in the group.

Organic chemistry
The Ph.D. project will focus on the synthesis of new bambusuril derivatives with particular number of functional groups, which would allow further application of these macrocycles for anion sensing, anion transport, and others.

Material chemistry
The Ph.D. project will focus on the attachment of bambusuril macrocycles on polymers or solid supports in order to prepare materials for anion extraction or stationary phases for chiral HPLC columns

Physical chemistry
The Ph.D. project will focus on the investigation of binding properties between bambusuril receptors and various anions. The stability and thermodynamic parameters of these supramolecular complexes will be evaluated mainly by isothermal titration calorimetry.
