The Centre d’étude de la vie politique at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Cevipol-ULB, http://cevipol.ulb.ac.be/fr) encourages applications from promising postdoctoral researchers willing to develop their skills and career prospects by joining a vibrant multicultural team in the capital of Europe.

The Cevipol is a leading research unit in its fields of specialization:

political sociology, comparative politics, European studies, area studies; public action. It has privileged connections with decision-makers both at Belgian and European levels and is inscribed in diversified international networks, especially through strategic partnership with prestigious universities in Europe and all over the word (Oxford, Cambridge, Berkeley, Waseda…). The Cevipol has a strong track record in fund raising (H2020, ERC, FNRS, EOS…) and extensive experience in hosting and training visiting researchers.

Successful candidates will be supervised by the professor with the most relevant expertise according to their topic. They will be offered an office space, full access to the scientific and administrative resources of the Cevipol and the ability to become an active member of our academic community.

1. CV, including a selection of most representative publications (maximum 4 sides of A4)

2. Project outline, highlighting the congruence of the project with the research interests of the Cevipol and the personal motivations and purposes to join our team (maximum of 5 sides of A4)

3. Copy of the PhD diploma

Selected applicant(s) will be contacted at the beginning of July.

The final application will be prepared with the support of the Cevipol and ad hoc ULB officers. The deadline for final proposals is 11 September 2019 - 5. pm with a start date to be agreed later, for a period lasting between 12 and 24 months. Residence in Brussels is mandatory.

Eligibility

Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships are open to researchers of any nationality, who, at the date of the call deadline:

1. Must have a doctoral degree or at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience.

2. Cannot have spent more than 12 months of the past 3 years in Belgium.
