Fifteen PhD positions are available for highly motivated Early Stage Researcher (ESR) positions as part of the new H2020, EU-funded, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Joint Training and Research Programme on Chromatin Dynamics & the DNA Damage Response “aDDRess”.

The aDDRess consortium is a joint European Program of excellence in training and research with a core intellectual focus on, chromatin dynamics, DNA damage signaling and repair mechanisms and their impact on development and disease. aDDRess-ITN (www.itn-aDDRess.gr) brings together leading academic and industry research groups located throughout EU to train a new generation of researchers. We are now looking for 15 highly motivated Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) to work towards their PhD on Chromatin Dynamics and the DNA damage Response.

Eligibility criteria

-The applicants can be of any nationality.

-The applicants should preferably hold an MSc degree in Biological Sciences.

-They should be within four years of the diploma granting them access to doctorate studies at the time of recruitment,

-The applicant must not have resided for more than 12 months prior to the singing her/his contract in the country of the host institute.

-Applicants should be proficient in written and spoken English.

 

Selection process

Potential applicants are invited to choose their lab(s) of preference and individual projects that are advertised on the program's website. Applications should be uploaded through the Program’s website link: https://www.itn-address.gr/index.php/vacancies/apply

Each applicant may apply separately for more than one position. Applications should include:

  1. an up-to-date CV (max. 4 pages),
  2. a cover letter that describes the applicant’s motivation to apply (max. 1 page) and,
  3. the contact details of at least two referees.

All requested information should be submitted as a single .pdf file of less than 2Mb. Only complete applications will be considered.

Candidates will be pre-selected by the 15 Principal Investigators of the Program on the basis of their CV, relevance of their expertise to the program, their motivation letter and the recommendation letters. Pre-selected applicants will be notified by the Program Manager of the Program and short interviews will be arranged. Only successful applicants will be contacted.
