The research group “Integrated metabolism and dynamics of metabolic

systems - Metasys” is looking for a postdoc researcher, for which the funding is available.

We are a research group at the Laboratoire d’Ingénierie des Systèmes

Biologiques et Procédés (LISBP) in Toulouse, France. Our group is

investigating microbial metabolism with the aim to understand its

organization, its operation and its adaptation. The team is developing a

system-level approach of cellular metabolism based on the combination

of in silico (reconstruction and modelling of metabolism) and experimental methods (metabolomics, fluxomics). Please see http://www.lisbp.fr/en/research/integrated-metabolism-and-dynamics-of-metabolic-systems.html for more information about our research.

Currently we are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious

individual to join the CHEAP, a Franco-German project that is funded by

both the Agence National de la Recherche (ANR) and the Deutsche

Forschungsgemeinschaft  (DFG). The project aims to develop a

comprehensive, system-level understanding of the physiology and

metabolism of heterologous protein overproduction using Pseudomonas putida as a host.

The successful candidate should have a PhD in Microbial physiology,

Biotechnology or a related field and have a strong commitment to

science. We are particularly interested in applicants with experience in

metabolomics and/or fluxomics. He/she will be specifically in charge of

the methodology development for metabolomics and fluxomics and the

analysis of functioning of the metabolism in the different conditions.

He/she will be in charge of the setup of cultivations at the LISBP,

measurements of metabolic pools and labelling incorporation in

metabolites and metabolic flux calculations.

Applications should be sent by e-mail to fabien.letisse@insa-toulouse.fr.

Please send as one pdf file: your CV, a cover letter describing your

research interests and motivation, a list of publications with a brief

description, and the names and e-mail addresses of academic referees.
