The successful appointee to this position will engage in undergraduate (in first year, in the “pre-orientation Ingénierie de la Construction”) and postgraduate teaching, postgraduate supervision, and further development of the INSA Mechanical and System Engineering programs, including apprenticeship training. The applicant will have a high level in computational mechanics (vibrations of structures, general mechanics… ) and will be able to push forward the teaching programmes in this field.
The recruited person will join the “Computational Mechanics” team (General Mechanics, Continuum Mechanics, Beam theory, Finite Elements...). This team has the mission to design, assess and revise teaching programmes in the field of general mechanics and vibration mechanics to foster graduates with the technical and professional skills required for mechanical engineers. He/she will also enrich the current training by integrating a lecture in transient solid dynamics. The recruited person will develop appropriate and modern approaches to learning and teaching both in French and English. He/She will be able to develop both the scientific, numerical and technological aspects and support lessons with realistic engineering use-cases. The recruited person will have to show a strong interest to the socio-economic world and to increase the participation of engineers in the trainings of the department.
The applicant will develop her/his research activities at Clément ADER Institute (INSA/UPS/Mines Albi/ISAE Supaéro, CNRS UMR 5312). The expected skills are the ones of a computational mechanics expert or those of a specialist in materials and structure modelling or measurements in mechanics.
Research Fields :
The applicant should show her/his capabilities to work in a research team and setup links between numerical modelling and experimentations within the fields of Clément Ader Institute research groups. In addition, she/he will develop collaborative research projects with public (French ANR, FUI, European projects) or private (industrial) funding. The candidate will show spirit of initiative and a real capacity of communication and animation. A particular importance will be granted to candidate excellence and to her/his research and integration projects in the laboratory.

The recruited person will quickly have to assume responsibilities such as head of training units, projects or levels. Finally, he/she may undertake administrative and collective responsibilities at the level of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at INSA or at the Clement Ader Institute lab.
