- Job profile :
The job profile is in the overall context of the Industry 4.0 for its Smart Manufacturing part. The teaching activities to develop in the Mechanical Engineering Department can be divided into two categories:
- A first category is related to the digital factory. The aim is to develop a teaching on the information system and the control of mechanical production (Smart Machining). The ultimate goal will be the integration of these data into the information system of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
- A second category is related to Additive Manufacturing. Courses have already been introduced for some years in the INSA Mechanical Engineering program. It is necessary to continue to develop them and it will be appreciated that the recruited person has a good knowledge on the different processes of additive manufacturing both plastic and metallic materials.
The Clément Ader Institute conducts research activities on the study of structures, systems and mechanical manufacturing processes, with particular attention to the aeronautical field. The job profile is in the global context of Industry 4.0 and the Factory of the Future for its Smart Manufacturing part.
The goal is to develop intelligent machining methodologies for real-time control of processes (Industry 4.0). Several applications are to be considered, especially in drilling multi-material stackings and for machining of parts obtained with Additive Manufacturing processes. The mission of the recruited person will be to carry out research of a highly experimental nature, focusing on the links between the operating parameters and the cutting tool degradation modes, the surface integrity and the material health of the considered parts.
- Research Fields :
The applicant should show her/his capabilities to work in a research team dealing with Machining & Mechanical Forming or Casting process. In addition, she/he will develop collaborative research projects with public (French ANR, FUI, European projects) or private (industrial) funding. The candidate will show spirit of initiative and a real capacity of communication and animation. A particular importance will be granted to candidate excellence and to her/his research and integration projects in the laboratory.
- Keywords :
Smart manufacturing, smart machining, smart drilling, additive manufacturing, robotic machining.
- Other activities
The recruited person will quickly have to assume responsibilities such as head of training units, projects or levels. Finally, he/she may undertake administrative and collective responsibilities at the level of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at INSA or at the Clement Ader Institute lab.
