Chemical engineering, membrane separation processes, complex and biological aqueous media

  1. Job profile :

Associate professor position in Chemical Engineering at INSA Toulouse Department of chemical engineering and environment. Qualified candidates must have a background in Chemical Engineering and a strong experience on membrane processes will be highly appreciated (experimental techniques and/or modelling).

  1. Research Fields :

The research activity focuses on membrane processes applied to the separation of biomolecule issued from biological reaction and/or valorization of water effluent. The objectives are to intensify the bioseparation with respect to energy and environmental challenges by improving knowledge on the transfer phenomena at membrane surface. This will be investigated through:

- The development of dedicated experimental set-up and characterization tools and/or modelling approaches at the local scale for mass transfer.

-The understanding of links between interface mechanisms, macroscopic properties of the complex bio-fluid and process operating parameters.
