Civil Engineering, structural maintenance and repair

This position aims at reinforcing a research topic concerning the diagnosis, requalification and maintenance of the built concrete heritage (hub 3 and axe 1 of LMDC). The candidate will have to contribute actively to the domain of repair techniques (composites, special concretes, methods intended to protect rebar against corrosion of reinforced concrete). The experimental characterization of the mechanical quality and of the durability of these repairs by the means of non-destructive techniques (optical and electrical) will also need to be developed. A contribution to the application of models used for the re-calculation of repaired structures would be appreciated, in order to make the link between the characterization tests in the laboratory, and the industrial applications in the field of structure repairing. The ability of the candidate to assess multi-physics problems, which include hydric, electrochemistry and mechanical aspects, would be an asset for the success of the research projects.

Particular collective duties:

Participation to quality procedures for measuring devices
