Training courses concerned.
It is expected that the recruited person will be involved in the following trainings, particularly in the first two.
- Master in Applied Mathematics at INSA Toulouse
- Master of Science in Massive Data Mining (Valdom), co-accreditation with ENSEEIHT
- First three years' courses (Department of Science and Technology for Engineers, STPI).
Within the Mathematical and Modelling Engineering Department (GMM), the current needs are in the areas of statistical learning, massive data technologies and applied statistics. The recruited person will be solicited in teaching these themes, in supervising projects or internships and in the implementation of continuing training in companies. It is expected that he/she will help in strengthen the links between the department and the industrial world. With the help of the INSA's Centre for Innovation and Pedagogical Engineering (C2IP), he/she will be involved in the development of teaching methods based on innovative pedagogies and the provision of English-language teaching.
The future Professor of Statistics will integrate the IMT Statistics and Probability Team (ESP) and may interact more specifically with the Machine Learning, Optimization, Complexity (AOC) team. He/She could also be able to bring new research dynamics. Among the priority topics: Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Sensitivity Analysis, R&D in collaboration with industrial partners.

- Job profile :
The Department is hiring a Professor in Statistics. He/She will take part in the teaching of Machine Learning, BigData Technologies, Applied Statistics at a Master level. He/She will have to supervise projects, internships and strengthen our links with industrial companies.
- Research Fields :
The future Professor should be able to integrate and interact with various members of the ESP (Probability and Statistics group) team of IMT (Toulouse Mathematics Institute). He/She will be able to bring new research dynamics. Among the prioritary topics : Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Sensitivity Analysis, R&D in collaboration with industrial partners.
