The aim of the project is to investigate the categories of centre/periphery in the various meanings and functions that they have in Livy's historical work. From a literary point of view, this category will be analysed as an expressive tool, capable of highlighting the rhetorical and narrative strategies used by Livy. From a historiographic point of view, the categories of centre/periphery will be used to evaluate Livy's conception of the history of Rome and its Romanocentrism, in the light of Augustan tradition. From a historical point of view, the use of the centre/periphery categories will be investigateci in the context of the legai and power relations inside and outside the civitas.
Selection Committee has 100 points to evaluate the candidates and they shall be awarded for:
- Qualifications: degree, PhD, specialisation degree, postgraduate certificates (awarded in Italy and abroad), maximum points 30
- curriculum vitae: performance of documented research activity at public and private organisations with contracts, grants or appointments (both in Italy and abroad) relevant to research stated in this selection announcement. Geographical research experiences on the theme of landscape; educational experiences and/or experiences in laboratory at a school or university level, maximum points 20
- Publications: including postgraduate dissertations or PhD theses, maximum points 20
- Interview: maximum points 40
