The Department of Prehistory and Historical Archaeology is one of the largest archaeological Departments in the German-speaking world. On March 1, 2019, a post-doctoral position (6 years 40 hours per week) will be filled in the field of Historical Archaeology. The applicant should excellent knowledge in the field of the archaeology of the 1st millennium AD. In addition, a habilitation project should be outlined. It is expected that the applicant teaches courses, in particular in the archaeology of the Migration Period and the Early Middle Ages.
