OFFER DESCRIPTION
The ESR will offer new insights into a) attention, processing, and retention of advertising
stimuli for paid (e.g. advertising) and unpaid content (social media); b) Specifications of
advertising content; c) Information model for adopting brands; d) Metrics for assessing
advertising effectiveness.
An economist with marketing communications background and a strong interest in neuroscience and VR, only basic knowledge on neuromarketing and VR is needed.
This position is one of the 11 ESR positions of the RHUMBO project (modelling and pRedicting Human decision-making Using Measures of subconscious Brain processes through mixed reality interfaces and biOmetric signals). RHUMBO is an international, multidisciplinary and multisectorial training network on neuroscience
Prospective ESRs will be enrolled at the Doctoral Program in Marketing / PhD school of the University of Valencia, Spain. ESRs will be expected to complete their courses of study in 3 years

Benefits
Three-year contract.
Annual gross salary 37,000€ plus a burse for training, secondments and family allowance (if applicable)
Being part of a research consortium with planned secondments: UKB (3 months): To study neurophysiological measurements; AAU (3 months): to study advertising processing; AMS (1 month): to study fNIRS technologies.
PhD degree after PhD dissertation
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor in business or marketing or from related disciplines.
- Master on business, marketing, neuroscience, virtual reality or related fields is needed by August 2019
- Transcript of records
- Training or work experience in specialized fields of marketing, neuroscience, or virtual reality
- Experience in research or publishing scientific work
- Letter of motivation
- Languages: English and Spanish (see details)
- Interview (optional)
