The candidate should have:

  • a PhD degree in the discipline of Oceanology;
  • master's degree in mathematics or physics
  • experience in numerical methods and data analysis
  • documented and practical knowledge of statistical tools
  • knowledge of high-level programming tools including Matlab
  • knowledge of symbolic calculation tools (eg Matlab and Mathematica)
  • documented knowledge of hydrodynamic modeling
  • documented practical knowledge of MIKE by DHI modeling software
  • knowledge of sediment transport processes
  • highly developed analytical skills and drawing synthetic conclusions
  • experience in presentation of scientific results at national and international conferences
  • experience in carrying out research projects
  • a good command of Polish and English

 Additional skills:

  • documented experience in work on the developing and validation of numerical models
  • knowledge of LaTeX or TeX systems will be an additional asset
