IdiPAZ offers 16 predoctoral positions within "laCaixa" Doctoral Fellowship Programme INPhINIT Incoming.

Spanish "laCaixa" Foundation has opened the 2019 call for its INPhINIT Incoming Doctoral Fellowship Programme, that it is aimed to offer up to 35 PhD fellowships for early-stage researchers of any nationality to pursue their PhD studies in research centres accredited  for their excellence. This frame is addressed exclusively to PhD research projects on STEM disciplines: life sciences and health, experimental sciences, physics, chemistry and mathematics.

IdiPAZ Institute for Health Research in Madrid offers 16 attractive research projects to potential candidates:

  1. Novel inflammatory and antinflamatory mechanisms associated to cardiovascular damage in hypertension and obesity.

  2. Molecular characterization of endometrial carcinoma: prognostic and predictive impact.

  3. Clinical and Virological Studies of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV): Implementation of new vaccines and their global impact on the infection.

  4. Surveillance of enterovirus and parvovirus infections in hospitalized neonates.

  5. Thymic Stroma Lymphopoietin, IL-33 and periostin in Hospitalized Infants with Viral Bronchiolitis and their role in the evelopment of recurrent wheezing and asthma.

  6. Installing the Cellular Antenna: Molecular Mechanisms of G protein-coupled Receptor Accumulation at the Primary Cilium.

  7. Bioinformatic tools to obtain complete information about the epigenetic machinery.

  8. Identification of Halogenated Endocrine Disruptors (HEDs) damaging thyroid hormone metabolism in mouse pregnancy.

  9. Biomarkers for earlier diagnosis of patient with biliary atresia.

  10. Hypoxia as a contributor to oncogenic transformation and their relationship with cellular reprogramming.

  11. New roles of the innate immune system in the human cardiovascular disease.

  12. Novelty therapy with exosomes in stroke.

  13. The causality evaluation of serious adverse drug reactions: utility of the algorithms, in vitro tests, toxicology and genetics.

  14. Near infrared-responsive scaffolds for deliberate regulation of transgene expression in bone tissue engineering.

  15. Relevance of the factor H protein family in Complement-associated nephropathies.

  16. Towards Precision Medicine in Primary Immunodeficiencies: Unraveling new Genetic Etiologies by ‘Omics’ Approaches.

The scientific structure of IdiPAZ includes 55 research groups distributed according to six main research areas: neurosciences; cardiovascular; infectious diseases and immunity; organ system pathologies; cancer and human molecular genetics and; surgery, transplant and health technologies.
