OFFER DESCRIPTION

The vacancie is linked to a FAPESP Thematic Project whose objective is to study the evolution of venom into snakes in America, its influence on the group diversification and molecular mechanisms of variability. The work will involve generation and analysis of transcriptomic data (RNAseq), proteomics, genomes and their correlation with the function of poisons. The student may conduct exchanges in partner laboratories in the Member States. And also gain experience in field activities.

Prerequisites

1) have completed or are completing scientific initiation
(prerequisite);
2) genomic/transcriptomic and/or proteomics and/or molecular biology (prerequisite);
3) knowledge of bioinformatics (desirable);
4) knowledge in herpetology and/or poisons (desirable);
5) initiative and team spirit (desirable).
